Who We Are: In the heart of Northern California, we propose a micro-community that cherishes independence while embracing togetherness. Our goal is to provide the extensive learning needed to embark on the journey of home co-ownership.

About Seniors SHARE: Seniors SHARE, a local business located in Vallejo, California, is the vision of Pamela Gustava Curry, a working senior herself. Pamela created this model to build a community not just with bricks and mortar, but woven with the threads of shared experiences and mutual support for housing security for thousands of working seniors just like her.

What We Do: Through our online program, Seniors SHARE, we enable working seniors to join together to co-buy property, mainly multi-unit properties and sometimes houses to each owner-occupy as their primary residence

• Rising Housing Costs: In many parts of the U.S., housing costs have increased significantly. For example, the median home price in California is over $700,000, making it challenging for many seniors to afford homes on their own.

• By co-buying shared multi-units, working seniors can pool their resources            to afford better housing, reduce living expenses, and create a supportive community that enhances their quality of life

• Income Challenges: Many working seniors live on fixed incomes. According to the Social Security Administration, the average monthly Social Security benefit for retired workers is about $1,800, which is often not enough to cover housing costs and other expenses.

• Loneliness and Isolation: Studies show that nearly one-third of seniors live alone, which can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness. Shared living arrangements can provide much-needed social interaction and support.

• Healthcare Costs: Seniors often face higher healthcare costs. By combining resources, they can better manage these expenses while ensuring they have a safe and supportive living environment.

• Planning for our future is on the minds of all parties invloved in the lives of seniors- now we have a place that gives us the security in knowing where we can be- if we choose that option.
